I have not been able to use it since. I have had the floppy drive since November 2009 and have had to use it about five times. I would not recommend the product to anyone. How do I return the floppy drive. Initially it performed well. After a couple of usages the computer wouldn't recognize it.
At first was told they had not received the damaged drive but then said he would make sure one got out in the mail to me.I received it today and it is a used but refurbished model.probably the one I sent. I did all that and suffered the expense of mailing it.waited 18 days for confirmation they had received it.emailed several times and got stock reply which was the mailing instructions. Finally had to place a long distance call and spoke to a person with a minimal use of the English language. Purchased from Amazon in October 2009. I'm very disappointed and will not buy Verbatim again. Then started not working and giving odd error messages.drive not formatted, insert disk even when was in place, and etc. Installed easily and worked for about 8 weeks. I went to all the trouble to contact Verbatim and was given DETAILED instructions about to get them to honor warranty."product should have at least one inch of packaging on all sides".Cushioning protection should be firm against the sides of the box so that it does not move.should not have direct contact with Styrofiam peanuts and other stuff".
Performs well and does what is advertied. I found this item on an auction and have decided to order it. You can not go wrong buying from this person, he gives no false or misleading statement about what he sells. I look forward to doing business again the the seller. The reviews of this item were good. I find it in excellent condition, new in the box well designed and works with any machine using a USB Port.
Great product. Easy to use and stores very easily. The item is exactly as advertised. I couldn't be more pleased with it.
It installed with no problems and the vender was VERY prompt. The disc drive is excellent.
